Main Goals & Responsibilities
	• To assist researchers at AGERI and other ARC institutes, or within the scientific community in Egypt and the region in the chemical analysis for a variety of compounds using state-of-the-art equipment (HPLC, GC-MS, Amino Acid Analyzer, etc.)
Current Research Services
	• Identification and estimation of carbohydrates using HPLC plant growth regulators (indoles, gibberellins, cytokinins, abscisic acid) sugars (monosaccharides and disaccharides) vitamins (fat soluble and water soluble) alkaloids, antibiotics, steroid hormones, hyaluronic acid, peptides indol derivatives, plant pigments, nucleotides and nucleosides volatile alcohols, blood alcohol, aldehydes, amines, ketones, phenols and phenolic acids, drugs, perfumes, pesticides • Identification and estimation of fatty acids using GC-MS fatty acids and lipids (saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, iodine and saponification numbers) • Identification and estimation of amino acids using Amino Acid Analyzer amino acids ( hydrolyzate amino acids and physiological amino acids) • Determination of total nitrogen proteins using Kjedal method • Determination of heavy metals using atomic absorption nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, magnesium, calcium, sulfur, boron, molybdenum, manganese, iron, lead, zinc, cadmium, copper, nickel, chromium and cobalt
